| CANBY GATOR VALENTINE INVITATIONAL PROVES TO BE A BIG HIT | |

The Canby Gators hosted their Annual Valentine Invitational on February 12th at the Canby Swim Center. There were eleven teams in attendance from around Oregon and southwest Washington and about 240 swimmers. The Gators had great success at the meet picking up new state qualifying times and 22 finished with all best times. Thirty Gators also scored individually and Dylan Hall bettered his own 8 and under 100 backstroke team record.
State Qualifiers at the Valentines Invitational for the Canby Swim Club were: Jessica Coats in the 100 back, 100 free and the 200 free. Cole DeRisio earned an A time in the 100 breast. Kaitlyn Hester swam to A times in the 50 free and 100 back. Kennedy made the state time in the 25 fly. Kylie finished with state times in the 25 breast, 50 breast and the 100 IM. Erin Meredith went from one A time before the meet to four, by swimming state times in the 100 breast, 100 back and 100 fly. Dylan Hall swam to state times in the 25 back and the 100 IM. Dylan also bettered his own team record in the 100 back with a time of 1:32.84. Well on their way to state qualifying times by swimming to the B standard in at least one event were: Sasha Berger, Mairen Chard, Sierra Erwert, Michael Haring, Jason Marcott, Amanda Moses and Alex Olson.
Canby Gators swimming to all best times at the meet were: Annika Bowlsby, Jessica Coats, Samantha Coats, Tanner Coulter, Cole DeRisio, Annali Fuller, Dylan Hall, Kennedy Hester, Kaitlyn Higgins, Colin Kennedy, Lucas Kropp, Paige LaVrar, Elizabeth McNamee, Erin Meredith, Stuart Moore, Blake Morris, Maddy Muldoon, Ryan Olson, Cori Oster, Imani Robinson, Jessie Thompson and Jamie Yager. Laila Bozorth, Hannah Hines and Emily Hughes all swam to best times in three of their four events and Florence Eischen dropped half a second in her 50 free.
Finishing in the top 16 individually in at least one event were: Sasha Berger, Jamison Chard, Jessica Coats, Cole DeRisio, Hunter DeRisio, Conner DeRisio, Sierra Erwert, Dylan Hall, Andrew Hanson, Michael Haring, Kaitlyn Hester, Kennedy Hester, Kylie Hester, Colin Kennedy, Paige LaVrar, Hollie Lopez, Jason Marcott, Joshua Marcott, Sydney Marsh, Erin Meredith, Madeline Meredith, Stuart Moore, Blake Morris, Amanda Moses, Alex Olson, Imani Robinson, Jessie Thompson, Hayden White, Jarek White and Jamie Yager.
Next up for the Canby Gators will be 10 and under state in Springfield Oregon February 18 & 19.
