The Gators swam very well at the
dual meet in Forest Grove November 7. Canby had thirty-one swimmers
earn all best times and had six swimmers earn state qualifying
times. The main idea of the meet is to get two pretty even teams
and put them up against each other to get the swimmers to swim fast
and earn best times. As the results show, it worked out pretty
well.
Canby Swimmers with all best

Formick, Trystan Given, Michael Haring, Megan Hekala, Kaitlyn

Bryon Langford, Erin Meredith, Madeline Meredith, Dean Mischell,
Austin Moses, Veronica Norris, Audrey Oldenkamp, Heidi Oldenkamp,
Amy Sanftleben, Tom Shanks, Harrison Sowle-Kinney, Hayden
Sowle-Kinney, Sebastian Weber, Hayden White, and Bridget Zamani.
Swimmers earning two of three best times at the meet were: Jessi
Broberg, Alex Hendrick, Rachel McKenzie, Amanda Moore, Amanda
Moses, Kylie Oster, Jessie Thompson and Dane Yu.
Finishing in the top six in their
age group were: Alyse Armstrong, Bryce Beatty, Brandi Beko, Brandon

State qualifiers for the Canby
Gators were: Michael Haring in the qualified in the 50 back.
Kaitlyn Hester earned state times in all three events, the 50 back,
100 breast and the 200 free. Alisha Issa swam to a state time in
the 50 fly. Dean Mischell and Casey O’Brien earned state
times in the 200 breaststroke. Noah Norris swam to state qualifying
times in all three events, the 50 free, fly and back.
